K-9 can hear the Doctor give a bit of a chuckle in a low manner as not to be rude, “So how long has it been” asked the Doctor in a more direct tone.
“Well damn it, Doc” reply Owner with a bit of defeat in his tone.” I guess it has been about 3 month without really taking care of him”
K-9 hears the Doctor walk over to the wall and he hears a click and then”, John, how many appointments, do I have left this afternoon”
K-9 hears a young man reply, “Just one sir, Mr. Hammond”
“Good, tell Mr. Hammond that I had issue come up and I need to attend to, see if he can come back tomorrow morning and I want you to come back to room 9” K-9 heard the Doctor tell the young man on the other end of the intercom.
It has been about 5 minutes, of just the Doctor and owner talking and K-9 has been in an all four stance the whole time. He looks over at this Owner and he gives a pleading look, he then hears Owner give the command’ “sit”. K-9 leans back in a sitting position and takes this time to check out the room completely. He sees it looks like a regular doctor office but the photos on the wall are those of other Human K-9, he even recognized some of the other K-9s as Some he has had the chance to meet and play with in the past. And under them he sees the plagues and ribbons, of the rewards that these dogs have won over the years. Now he is that same man that he upset with their last meeting and today to find out he is a Doctor, and he is giving K-9, a checkup and god knows what else is going to happen to him today.
There is a knock on the door and the Doctor says, “Come in”.
In walks the same young man that showed them to this room when they first got here.
